This is the first in an installment of USO Stories, a three part web series highlighting the USO's work throughout the region. As a promotional web-series, it works in the longer format than I would typically want web content to be (under 3:30), but it also taught me about the importance of distribution channels. Without those channels in place, something like this will not get the momentum it needs to build an audience. In the future, I focused on breaking these segments down into their parts. With shorter clips, you are more likely to see audience participation, higher viewer retention, and more social activity.
Have you guys tried your hand at a web-series? How did it go? Share your stories and links in the comments below!
